For those of you who are up for renewal this year, these are the things you should start doing:
-Register on Alis at: https://alis.edlicensing.vermont.gov -Once registered, check all your contact info to make sure it's correct. -Be sure to add your place of employment. This insures that all your Professional Learning Activities are sent to the correct LSB. Make sure you scroll all the way down and save this. Then log out and log back in to make sure your employment actually saved. Otherwise, you PL activities don't get to your local LSB and will go to the AOE who will not know where to send it for approval. If this happens, call your chair or co-chair, and they will make a call to the AOE. -Start entering your professional learning: 45 hours (or 3 credits) if you are a Level 1 or renewing to a Level 1. 135 hours (or 9 credits) if you are a Level 2 or transitioning to a Level 2. -Do not submit PL Activities for approval until you have put all your credits in. These will come to your LSB via the AOE for approval and will be sent back to you after being approved (or not). If you submit each time you enter a PL activity, you will not be able to enter any further PL activities until your previous submission has been approved. -If you have to have special certifications, such as CPR, First Aide, Dr. Ed (license), etc. Make sure you submit these under Other under PL Activities after you receive your renewals from the AOE. -If the AOE does not have your fingerprints on file, they will notify you at renewal time This may take a while so do this as soon as you are notified.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact your LSB.
